I understand.  You have prayed to God and you had a pretty solid idea of what you felt needed to happen (or not happen) to fix a situation.  
The truth is that God has a perspective into your circumstances that you do not.  He knows every single nuance and detail about every word you prayed that you do not. He knows the best outcomes for everyone involved and He knows the timing in which those outcomes should occur.  When we pray, we should not expect to see signs at every turn of His response to our prayer, but we should trust God, knowing He will act and intervene in a way that He knows is best, even if we do not witness evidence of His response first hand.
